Spell Numbers 1-100 In Chinese Words
To write and remember the correct spelling of Chinese numbers from 1 to 100 you better learn the language rules for writing numbers into Chinese words.
Chinese numbers have a very logical structure and are easy to learn! Memorize all numbers from 1 to 10. With bigger numbers certain rules have to be used. Starting from 11 you start writing them like so 10+1 which gives 'shi yi'.
Twenty is written as 2*10 giving 'er shi' as a result. This principle continues so here are some examples 21=2*10+1 or 'er shi yi' and 99=9*10+9 or 'jiu shi jiu'.
There are also Chinese terms for a hundred 'bai' and a thousand 'qian'. But in Chinese there are other units that are commonly used, including 'wan' for ten thousand. The biggest numbers are written by using times(*) ten thousand.
