Spell Numbers 1-100 In Spanish Words
To write and remember the correct spelling of Spanish numbers from 1 to 100 you better learn the language rules for writing numbers into Spanish words.
Numbers from 1 to 20 are mostly unique words you should know from memory. Between 21 and 29 numbers start with 'veinti' and end with a digit from 1 to 9. From 31 to 99 numbers are formed with a similar logic by writing the tens first, then adding a ' y '(and) in the middle and the last digit.
Numbers between 100 and 200 will all start with 'ciento '. Hundreds starting from 200 have a simple logic of writing 'cientos' after the first digit(500 is an exception).
Some Spanish numbers change depending on the gender of the nouns. The number 'uno'(one) changes to 'un' if it is in front of a male word. The same applies to all other numbers ending with 'uno'. For example: 'un hombre' (1 man), 'una mujer' (1 woman).
